The county of Warwickshire is within the region of the west midlands. Part of Warwickshire is the county town of Warwick but also the largest town being Nuneaton. The County Is famous throughout history as being the birthplace of famous play writers who wrote Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, Mr William Shakespeare at Stratford Upon Avon. However, the county is formed of five different districts which are, North Warwickshire, Bedworth, Warwick, Stratford on Avon and Nuneaton. The Current Population of Warwickshire is over 577,933 people and is ranked 22nd out of 26.
Warwickshire has got an interesting history, as for the first few decades following the roman invasion back in 43AD. During this time, the Warwickshire area ended up finding itself at roman rule. However, after this time and when the romans left Britain, the areas of Warwickshire were settled by Anglo Saxon tribes and becoming a part of Mercia. This wasn’t the only development that happened in modern day Britain for Warwickshire, it turns out that the first railway lines from London and Birmingham ran through Warwickshire.
Within Sports, Warwickshire is home to lots of amazing sports such as being a place of beauty for those who like Cycling as many can do this down the amazing beautiful Rural Roads, Canal Towpaths and Historical Towns that are increasing with Popularity among Cycling Enthusiasts.
Warwickshire isn’t home to any football clubs, but their surrounding districts are such as Rugby Town.
However, Warwickshire have got football teams within the boundaries of the county such as Aston Villa, Birmingham City and Coventry City. Furthermore, football isn’t the only sport that many like, within Warwickshire, they are home to the Warwickshire County Cricket Club which plays at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
It comes about that Warwickshire is an extremely energetic place, as with all the sports that happen, they also have six Saturday Morning 5KM park runs that are open to all age ranges and abilities from Leamington, Stratford Upon Avon, Rugby, Bedworth, Southam and Kingsbury.
Educationally, Warwickshire is one of thirty-six local authorities in England that still maintain the use of a grammar school system. Along this, the county of Warwickshire is home to having four further education colleges which are North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, and the King Edward VI sixth form.
