I currently have a child placed with me

If you currently have a child placed with you, don’t worry – the transfer procedure is well equipped to deal with this situation.

The process involves contacting your current agency, explaining your desire to move and arranging a meeting with our agency, your current agency and the child’s social worker to ensure the move can go ahead without disrupting the placement.

I do not have a child placed with me at present

If you don’t currently have a child placed with you, then the process is even simpler. Once you inform your current agency of your desire to move, you will need to be re-assessed by Fostering UK, followed by an official resignation to your previous agency.

All of our transfer processes work in accordance with The Transfer of Foster Carers Protocol and are designed to be straightforward for all parties involved.
