Are you interested in foster care & live in the Bedfordshire area?

Here at Fostering UK, we are working hard to reach our aim of providing committed, empathetic, and knowledgeable, therapeutically trained foster carers.  We are seeking to recruit and support carers in the Bedfordshire area (Sandy, Woburn, Biggleswade, and Dunstable) who can provide placements for children and young people.

Foster carer agency change

Working with us might be be just what you need

Fostering UK are a small agency, and we work in partnership with many Local Authorities daily and with the level of demand for fostering families increasing in the Bedfordshire area, and it being a large county we want to hear from you.  We would like to expand our carer base to include Sandy, Woburn, Biggleswade, and Dunstable to name but a few of the lovely Cities Bedfordshire has to offer.

Bedfordshire is covered by three unitary authorities: Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, and Luton, and is bordered by Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire.  We have Fostering families working for Fostering UK in these surrounding counties and currently 3 approved fostering households in the Bedfordshire area.

Becoming a foster carer for Fostering UK in the Bedfordshire area, means you will have a fantastic support network of carers around you, plus access to local support groups where you will have the opportunity to talk, share ideas, and take part in training, as well as having a cuppa and a catch up.

At Fostering UK, we like a family and we pride ourselves on our dedicated staff team who work closely with all our foster carers, and children.  Working for Fostering UK means that as a carer you will have access to help, advise or support, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

We prioritise fun and exciting activities throughout the year.  Bedfordshire has some wonderful attractions to consider for outings such as ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Safari Park, and the beautiful English Heritage site Wrest Park to name a few.

The demand for foster carers in Bedfordshire is constantly rising as the number of vulnerable children living in care increases. As such, Fostering UK is looking to expand into the county and build on our carer bases in surrounding areas, such as Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. To ensure that foster children in the area are not relocated large distances from their home county, we are reaching out to find more devoted individuals in Bedfordshire to join our wide network of foster carers in the UK.

Fostering UK is a small, family-run fostering agency with years of experience in supporting foster carers to reach their maximum potential. We pride ourselves in providing a level of personal support for our carers which would not be attainable in a larger, corporate fostering agency. This means those deciding to embark on the journey of fostering in Bedfordshire will have access to dedicated staff members who are there for you around the clock to address your every concern.

The smaller and predominantly rural population in the county means that we are presented with greater difficulty in recruiting foster carers in Bedfordshire. The area is covered by three unitary authorities: Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, and Luton. The current areas we are pursuing candidates for fostering in Bedfordshire are the cities of:

  • Sandy
  • Woburn
  • Biggleswade
  • Dunstable

However, if you live in any of the surrounding areas and are interested in fostering in Bedfordshire then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
