Team Manager – Fostering

Fostering UK is recruiting a Team Manager to lead fostering operations across Southwest and Central England, starting 1 October 2025 with a salary of £48,000–£52,000. Reporting to the Registered Manager, the role involves supervising a team of Supervising Social Workers and administrative staff, overseeing foster carer assessments and reviews, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The postholder will also deputise for the Registered Manager when required.

Responsibilities include acting as Panel Advisor, managing placement matching to promote stability and positive outcomes for children, leading reflective practice sessions, and supporting staff development. The role requires close attention to safeguarding, liaison with multi-agency partners, and contributing to strategic planning, budget management, and service promotion. Participation in the out-of-hours rota is also required.

Applicants must be qualified social workers with Social Work England registration, significant fostering and team management experience, and strong leadership, organisational, and quality assurance skills.
